Yamou’s work explores organic processes, continuity and change, the tensions and instabilities of boundaries and the spaces in between. Beneath the surface of these beautiful paintings, both large and small scale, there is an underlying sense of disquiet. Stunningly illustrated with Yamou’s elegant, abstract, and stylised paintings, Working from Life will bring this unusual artist’s works to a larger audience.
