As the viewer’s gaze is directed inwards towards the centre, the shape becomes reminiscent of a star to spark thoughts about navigation and direction. The artist’s intent is to provoke an inner dialogue in the viewer about where this progress should lead us.
About the Artist
Belgian artist Quentin Desmit’s interest in the arts manifested from a young age, but his move to Dubai in 2012 impacted his visual identity by linking his love for modern architecture with art. Through techniques as diverse as painting, sculpture, digital art and photography, he plays with the architectural landscape of Dubai and turns it into unique and striking art pieces.
