Important Notice: By completing your registration and payment process for the Breathing & Sound Healing Session on Friday April 16, 2021, at Jameel Arts Centre, I acknowledge and accept the terms and conditions outlined below.

I, the registrant, hereby guarantee that I am 18 years of age or older. I understand that there may be filming and photography at this event. I understand that the session may include the use of incense.

If at any time during the session I feel discomfort or strain, I will gently return to normal breathing. I may rest at any time during the class.

I, the registrant, understand that this session is not a substitute for medical attention, examination, diagnosis or treatment. I will consult a physician prior to beginning any activity programme. I recognise that it is my responsibility to notify the facilitators of any serious illness, allergy or injury before the session. I will not perform any movement or postures to the extent of strain or pain. I accept that neither the facilitators nor Art Jameel are liable for any injury or damages to person or property, resulting from participation in the Breathing & Sound Healing Session on Friday April 16, 2021.

Registrant Waiver

1. I agree to inform the facilitators of any changes in my health and medical condition during the session. I understand there shall be no liability on Art Jameel or the facilitators’ part if I fail to do so.

2. This release and any disputes or claims arising out of or in connection with it or its subject matter (including non-contractual disputes or claims) are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Its courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

By submitting this registration application, I hereby waive and release the facilitators as well as Art Jameel from any and all liability, past, present and future relating to the Breathing & Sound Healing Session on Friday April 16, 2021.

Breathwork Waiver

I, the registrant, understand and acknowledge that the discussions, consultations and breathwork session(s) and teaching(s) I experience within this session:
are not intended to replace any relationship I have with my medical doctor and/or primary health care provider(s);
are not intended to constitute medical advice or any substitution for medical care;
are not intended to be relied on for prescriptions, recommendations, diagnosis or treatment in relation to any health problem or disease;

I understand that if I am taking any medications or have any medical conditions such as, but not limited to: schizophrenia, bi-polar, epilepsy, heart conditions, or pregnancy, I must advise the facilitators. I also understand that even though I have been accepted as a participant, I am responsible for any consequence resulting from any and all session(s).

I certify that I have consulted a health professional regarding any condition physical, mental or emotional that could interfere with my judgment, or affect my health in any way during or after any and all session(s). I understand and acknowledge that I am responsible for consulting my health care provider or doctor in case I have or suspect to be suffering from a health problem.

Sound Energy Medicine Waiver

Sound therapy, sound energy medicine, sound healing and gong techniques use sound, vibration, and intention to gently transition a person from his or her normal waking state of consciousness (beta) to a highly relaxed state of consciousness (alpha, theta and delta). In this relaxed state, a person’s own innate healing abilities are able to work more effectively to bring the person back into optimal vibrational alignment that enhances overall health and well-being.

As a Sound Therapy practitioner, I acknowledge that Shereen Al Mulla is not a licensed health professional. As such, she will not diagnose, prescribe substances, perform medical treatment, or interfere with the treatment of qualified physicians or other licensed medical professionals. The services Shereen Al Mulla offers are considered complementary to traditional Western medical practices.

Each session lasts approximately 90 mins. During this time, gongs will be played to encourage a deep state of relaxation where a person’s own healing abilities may be activated. If I have reason to believe that the vibrations and the sounds of the gong may cause me discomfort, pain or injury, I acknowledge that it is my responsibility to advise the facilitators before the session begins.

Addendum: COVID-19

The novel coronavirus, COVID-19, has been declared a worldwide pandemic by the World Health Organization. COVID-19 is extremely contagious and is believed to spread mainly from person-to-person contact.

In line with UAE government guidelines, Art Jameel has put in place preventive measures to reduce the risk of spread of COVID-19. Still, Art Jameel cannot guarantee with absolute certainty that you will not be exposed to COVID-19 while attending the Breathing & Sound Healing Session on Friday April 16, 2021, or the tour preceding it.

Assumption of risk: By submitting this registration application, I acknowledge the contagious nature of COVID-19 and voluntarily assume the risk that I may be exposed to or infected by COVID-19, and that such exposure or infection may result in personal injury, illness, permanent disability and death.

I voluntarily agree to assume all of the foregoing risks and accept sole responsibility for any injury, illness, damage, loss, claim, liability or expense, of any kind, that I may incur.

Waiver of liability: I hereby release, covenant not to sue, discharge and hold harmless the facilitators, Art Jameel, its employees, agents and representatives, from all liabilities, claims, actions, damages, costs or expenses of any kind arising out of or relating to COVID-19.
