People tend to rotate a notebook approximately 20 to 30 degrees, whether to write or draw, having this fact in mind, this series is designed to include lined pages at 27.55 degrees, slanted in the direction of a user’s hand placement on a notebook’s page – an opportunity to a somewhat different writing or drawing experience.
The artwork on the front side of this sleeve is inspired by idioms about thought and memory. It is created using riso printing technique. All notebooks are designed and handmade locally in Kuwait.

About the Brand
Square One Lab is an initiator and promoter of collaborative work between originators and their like-minded creative counterparts, encouraging experimentation and exploration. Founded in March 2017 by Nawar N. Al- Kazemi, a designer and design critic, she holds an MFA in Design Criticism from the School of Visual Arts, Manhattan, New York. Square One Lab emphasizes an interdisciplinary approach, encouraging collaborators from diverse backgrounds to collectively contribute from their areas of expertise under the central theme of creativity.
