The Spiritual Sphere was initially designed for meditation purposes. It translates the state of existence into a candle, where the light reflects on the texture and creates an even more enthralling effect.
This wax sculpture is part of House of Today’s curated Candle Project. The illuminative wonder took 24 hours to be molded by hand. It is designed by Nada Debs and handcrafted by wax artisans at the Beit Chabeb Hospital Workshop.
About the Artist
Nada Debs, of Lebanese origin, was raised in Japan. She studied Interior Architecture at the Rhode Island School of Design in the USA and started her first design company in the UK designing and producing custom furniture. After a 40 year hiatus, Nada Debs’ Levantine spirit brought her back home to Beirut where she discovered that designs for modern Middle Eastern furniture was almost non-existent. This made her determined to create the East & East concept, fusing Eastern tradition and minimalism, where her multi-cultural approach caught the appeal of the global design world. Based in Beirut, NADA DEBS designs are represented in the USA, Canada, UK, France, UAE, Saudi Arabia and recently in Tunisia.
