About the Brand
MC Kirwan is an emerging female abstract artist who graduated with a honors Fashion Design degree from Limerick School of Art and Design, Ireland in 2006. After graduation she relocated to London and spent 15 years working with global fashion and beauty brands. During this period she rose to Creative Director as she demonstrated her passion for transforming ideas into market leading creative content.
A surfing accident in early 2019 resulted in a life changing back injury. She initially picked up her paint brush to escape the chronic, unrelenting pain. The challenge was to rewire her brain away from pain to a place of harmony. It blossomed into something much more. MC’s abstract expressionism is an exploration of colour, space, shapes and feelings. She creates for joy and pleasure. Her preferred mediums are Acrylic, Oils and Ceramics.
Her body of work to date consists of a collection of large scale canvas works, along-side over 200 smaller colour works a series of commerical ceramics titled ‘Cracked” along with succeful collaborations with the scent company Earl of East London and Cushendale the oldest woolen mills in Ireland.
To date MC has created work for clients in North America, Middle East, Australasia and Europe. Mc moved to Dubai in Autumn 2021. Her work has been featured in publications such as Harpers Bazaar Arabia, Vogue Arabia, The Irish Times, Tatler and House and Home UK.
