Inspired by the Dubai creek that is home to Jameel Arts Centre and the Art Jameel Shop’s flagship store, Carla Baz wanted to create a piece that would resonate with the site’s unique pearl-diving history. This desk lamp is delicately crafted in solid brass then oxidised for a verdigris finish. The lamp holds a beautiful frosted-glass globe reflecting a warm light on its intricate tones of blue.

About the Brand
Carla Baz moved to London upon completing her Master’s Degree to work with renowned designers, including Vivienne Westwood and Zaha Hadid. In pursuit of a more engaged practice that reintroduces gesture back into the design process, Carla Baz established a Beirut-based studio where she collaborates with highly-skilled craftsmen to nurture the link between the hand that draws and the hand that makes. The end product is therefore meticulous in form and purist in aesthetic.
