Ezzat Mezher is a Lebanese painter and sculptor who has worked deeply for his country, both with his many monumental sculptures present in the four corners of Lebanon, and with his paintings and his approach to stone.

Alexis Boutros, the founder of Alba has long dreamed of creating an institution that would give Lebanese youth the opportunity to develop their artistic gifts. His unshakeable will is the starting point of the adventure, born in 1937 under the name of Association des Musiciens Amateurs (AMA), and which subsequently developed to become the Lebanese Academy of Fine Arts, the first National Institution for Higher Education in Lebanon.
