Blobs are a collection of rugs and coasters with an overflow of colour reminiscent of drops of ink or paint. All Blobs are hand-tufted to simulate the merging of colours by using different thicknesses of acrylic yarns, which causes the colours to flow into each other and blend as they would on an artist’s palette. The dimensions of the rugs allow them to be used as wall tapestries, bed or table runners, or just on the floor of a living room.
About the Artist
RADCAT is the brainchild of Isabella, Nour, and Ziad. Three unique individuals who set off on a mission to inject some color and whimsey between the shades of grey of everyday life.
Armed with an extensive knowledge in all things design and arts & craft they have created unique handcrafted pieces that celebrate individuality and creativity.
With only a couple of lifestyle brands available to the youth in Lebanon, they aim to provide a new approach for the ethically conscious and expect to decorate your living space with locally designed and handcrafted products.
About the Brand
Exil Collective was created as an invitation to change the way design is perceived in Lebanon and the Middle East.
In order to reach this goal, we put forward a set of guidelines meant to optimise creation, production, and distribution of design objects imagined by local talents and produced by local artisans. These guidelines are meant to direct the designers’ thinking toward local feasibility, waste reduction, and ethical production: context as a guide for creation tailored to local manufacturing.
