About the Author
Gabriella Nugent is an art historian and curator based in London. She specialises in global modern and contemporary art, with an emphasis on cross-cultural interactions and themes of colonialism, decolonisation and globalisation. She is the author of Colonial Legacies: Contemporary Lens-Based Art and the Democratic Republic of Congo (Leuven University Press, 2021) and Inji Efflatoun and the Mexican Muralists: Imaging Women and Work between Egypt and Mexico (Sharjah Art Foundation, 2022).
About the Publishers
Sharjah Art Foundation hosts numerous activities and events throughout the year, from exhibitions featuring the work of Arab and international artists, live music and performances to film screenings and artist talks as well as extensive art education programmes for children, adults and families.
