In each issue, a group of illustrators is asked to respond to a theme, the first being ‘Introductions’; and what better way to introduce these talented artists than through their very own awesome illustrations?
The title Fade Away and Illustrate is inspired by Blondie, one of Mezaina’s all-time favourite bands, and their song “Fade Away and Radiate.”
About the Artist
Khalid Mezaina is an independent artist, designer and illustrator inspired by popular culture, music, Dubai’s ever-evolving landscape and its people. He actively participates in exhibitions, projects and residencies both in the United Arab Emirates and abroad, and facilitates workshops for both children and adults. In 2010, Khalid began a personal practice, focussing on illustration, print and surface design.
About the Publisher
