This book was published in conjunction with the exhibition catalogue and includes essays by Jack Persekian, Rene Gabri, Anneka Lenssen, Sergio Vega and Cornelia Parker, who narrate the experience of encountering the Biennial firsthand.
The publication includes transcripts of the symposium lectures that took place alongside Sharjah Biennial 8. An additional text from Felix Guattari is reprinted in this publication and translated into Arabic for the first time to further contextualise the Biennial’s concern for how we address and understand some of the ecological challenges confronting the world today.
