Hand Painted Dining Plate - Large
This piece is from artist Lena Kassicieh's new line of ceramics 'Faloodeh and Sopapillas' produced in 2021; this series was created with inspiration from the artist’s personal movements and connections in Dubai and New Mexico, and special foods that she cherishes in both places. Sopapillas being a doughy and honey-filled pastry made by Native American communities in New Mexico, and Faloodeh being the Iranian rose-water ice cream that she first discovered as a comfort food when she moved to Dubai.
