Avaacha was founded by Maham Abbas with the vision to create kids' clothing that is not only unique and of exceptional quality but is also kind to the planet. After becoming a mother, Maham realized there was a significant gap in the market for brands that offered this combination. Despite studying biochemistry at Oxford, and working as a strategy consultant, she was always drawn to creative things and design - something Avaacha fully allows her to explore. Maham is passionate about nurturing artistic expression in children, believing its benefits are limitless.

‘Ava’, means ‘bird’ or ‘life’ in Latin, representing the freedom to live to our fullest and to stretch our imagination beyond limits. The ‘cha’ has no specific meaning, but brings a sense of playfulness of the name - an element integral to the brand. We have seamlessly woven these meanings into our identity, incorporating both ‘bird’ and ‘life’ into our logo to ensure they remain at the heart of Avaacha. Every piece we create is a celebration of childhood’s uninhibited creativity, encouraging little ones to play, dream, and create freely.
