Fereydoun Ave’s activity as a designer from mid-1960’s in US until today is documented in this volume. This book was launched in the exhibition “Fereydoun Ave: Designer – A Retrospective and Book Launch” Curated by Ali Bakhtiari and Aria Kasaei, October and November 2014 in Azad Art Gallery and Dastan Basement.
About the Editors
Ali Bakhtiari curator, born 1985, Tehran. Curated exhibitions internationally. Runs and owns independent art project called ‘ABBookness,’ which focuses on art book production.
Aria Kasaei is an Iranian graphic designer born in 1980 in Tehran, Iran where he lives and works. He is the co-founder of StudioKargah in Tehran, a design studio that tries to collect, classify, archive and curate documents and artworks of Iran’s graphic design history and is a hub for artists, researchers and cultural institutes.
He is an active contributor to the Dabireh Collective and Tandis Bi-weekly magazine. Kasaei has curated graphic design exhibitions such as Azad Art Gallery’s Graphic Design Project in Tehran in 2009 and Posters from Iran in Copenhagen, Denmark in 2011 and has exhibited his work in Iran and internationally.
