Exil Collective was created as an invitation to change the way design is perceived in Lebanon and the Middle East. In order to reach this goal, we put forward a set of guidelines meant to optimise creation, production, and distribution of design objects imagined by local talents and produced by local artisans. These guidelines are meant to direct the designers' thinking toward local feasibility, waste reduction, and ethical production: context as a guide for creation tailored to local manufacturing.

Yara Boulos is an interior designer with an Alba and RCA background. Living in London for 4 years changed her perspective on the design world, resulting in a harmonious blend of design and sustainability.

Boulos Signature is the family’s marble company, from which they source marble waste from each completed project. From these remnants came the concept of Studio MAU, "Marbled & Upcycled"—repurposing luxurious stone residues into modern, multi-purpose home accessories. The concept aims to reduce waste while creating beautiful, simple pieces to elevate living spaces.
