Merle Kröger lives in Berlin where she works as a novelist, screenwriter and dramaturg. She was a member of the Berlin film collective dog film (1992–1999) and founded pong lm in 2001. Kröger is the co-author of Philip Scheffner’s internationally awarded films Revision (2012), Havarie (2016) and Europe (2022). Kayfa ta is an independent publishing initiative founded in 2012 by Maha Maamoun and Ala Younis. The project adopts the familiar format of the “how-to” manual (kayfa meaning “how” and ta meaning “to”) as a framework for exploring contemporary needs and questions. Through its publications, Kayfa ta examines the development of skills, tools, ideas and sensibilities that respond to the complexities of the present moment.
